Theresa is experienced in a wide range of general commercial property matters, but has substantial experience in the retail and investment sectors, particularly in the asset management of large property portfolios, having been a senior member of client service teams acting for household name retail occupiers, public sector, offshore property funds and individual property investors with large national portfolios of commercial and industrial estates. She is well-versed in all aspects of landlord and tenant work from both the landlord and tenant’s perspectives, having acted for retail tenants and investor landlords.

Theresa also provides property support on corporate transactions and has both worked on and managed large-scale real estate project work involving securitisation, refinancing, acquisitions and disposals of commercial and retail property portfolios, and the preparation of certificates of title.

Highlights include advising:

• Acted for two national household name retailers in managing their respective portfolios of over 2000 retail and supply-chain properties. 

​

• Acted for a national retailer in the development and roll-out of special projects (rebranding of stores nationwide following a merger/take-over of retail groups, transfers of property holdings following a group restructure and de-merger and implementation of specific partnership programmes within retail stores nationwide requiring complex sub-lease and franchising arrangements).

• Dealt with all aspects of landlord asset management work for offshore unit trusts and property investment funds with over a hundred commercial office buildings and industrial estates located across England and Wales.

• Acted as project manager on the disposal and securitisation of a £172M portfolio of holiday caravan parks for a national leisure operator.

• Acting as property legal adviser for a national university - providing legal and strategic advice on the management of the university's national property portfolio
