Advised developers, house builders, registered providers and funders on many major housing and mixed use developments in London and throughout the country.

Advised South Hams District Council, Plymouth City Council and Devon County Council on all planning matters relating to the creation of a new town, Sherford. This scheme included 5000 new homes, public buildings, a country park, schools, sports facilities, waste facilities, social infrastructure and required me to assist the local authorities to anticipate the developer’s strategy and present solutions to ensure the settlement was sustainable and had supporting services and facilities and was a real place, not just a dormitory town.

Advised on Build to Rent schemes, this involved strategic advice, planning appeal and s106 negotiation and settlements for major schemes in various London boroughs, Sale, and Salford.

Advised Peel Holdings on the £5Billion regeneration project of the Mersey Maritime Dock and hinterlands, Liverpool Waters for 9000 homes and employment opportunities on the Atlantic gateway and in close proximity to a UNESCO World Heritage Area.

Advised London Borough of Wandsworth in relation to the regeneration of the Nine Elms Opportunity Area - including the process for demolition and re provision of the four famous chimneys of Battersea Power Station.

Advised on the Northern Line extension, offering re-planning and re-phasing guidance on statutory agreements, varying consents, s106 agreements and conditioning.

Advised on the Thameside West regeneration - a joint venture between a family office and the GLA in the London Borough of Newham, situated above the site of the forthcoming Silvertown Tunnel. This included working with the development team on the correct approach to the Transport for London application for a Development Control Order, master planning and the approach to s106 and CIL strategy.

Advised on the Nottingham Tram first phase. This involved a hard stop compulsory purchase deadline missed by public authorities, capital gains tax, allotments, interaction with 2 local authorities, 3 private sector organisations, statutory authorities.

Advised on the Docklands Light Railway City Airport Extension, this involved consideration of bird control, heritage.

Provided strategic advice and s106 agreement in relation to a commercial scheme in RB Greenwich including issues concerning demolition and locally listed buildings.

Advised on the English Coal Privatisation, this included consideration of mine water discharge, interaction of mining leases, land rights & planning permissions.

Advised a FTSE 250 housebuilder, this included consideration of contamination plume in River Thames resulting in potential enforcement from local planning authority and EPA, dealing with interaction between all authorities the developer and residents.
